Jammie & JV have some talented kids. Their parents are beaming with pride. Take a look at Jammie’s YouTube feed—it’s filled with videos of their kids performances. Jadyn has a voice of an angel. Josh & Jeremiah follow in the footsteps of their idols, the Jabbawockeez. Their love for choreographed dance attests to that.
I was invited to watch Josh’s last performance at his elementary school in the South Bay. They performed a faithful reenactment, originally performed by another dance crew called the Philippine Allstars. As a proud father, JV performed the whole skit for your entertainment & mommy Jammie uploaded it:
Keep it up, kids! You can become YouTube stars with all the talent y’all have. To show the dedication, here’s a face of intensity:
It’s official, we’re finally married! It was a busy, event-filled, Memorial Day weekend that we’ll never forget. (Note the usage of the word ‘we’…my new wife & I are a team now!)
Many thanks all around! For a short list, thanks to:
Cindy’s parents for spoiling us with the perfect reception dinner
Today is the big day! It didn’t start feeling real until we had the rehearsal last night. Other than some performance anxieties (being the center of attention & all), I think I’m ready to go!
I would write these short blogposts in Twitter, but it’s a bit longer than their 140 character limit & I can’t share the cool photo above from last night’s rehearsal.
(If I’m late to my own wedding, it’s probably because I was busy writing this post. Don’t tell Cindy!)
Tonight’s the ceremony rehearsal, then I go back to San Mateo to take care of the final touches. Thanks to everyone for their assistance & well-wishes!
Why the photo of the monkey above? It was a memento of the past weekend. The guys stole me away for a bachelor’s weekend. It was a blast, but I can’t remember exactly how I ended up with a balloon monkey on my couch.
Everyone loves Cindy. My family wanted to do something special for her & our big day. Since our festivities are going to be celebrated in the small scale, there isn’t much to plan. A bachelorette party is out of the question, which left us the only option: a bridal shower. Mind you, planning a small get-together in our family is a huge feat, but we managed to plan it without getting out of hand & overwhelming Cindy.
To keep it a surprise, we planned it on Mother’s Day to catch her off guard. She isn’t too thrilled with the idea of surprise parties, or even having so much attention focused on her (hence the small wedding ceremony), but my family did their best in planning to keep her comfortable.
Thank you to all who organized it all! From what I understood, my sister, mom, cousins did a lot to contribute! My sister & cousins organized all the activities, my mom & auntie provided the good food, & my Auntie Remy provided the venue & the gorgeous backyard with the blooming flowers. Allergies are always a threat, but you otherwise can’t go wrong spending a Sunday afternoon underneath a cool tree with wonderful weather.
Thank you to everyone who brought gifts! Many useful things for Cindy & some good stuff for myself!
Thanks for all the gifts!
Wow…the wedding is less than two weeks away! A lot of stuff still needs to be done! The both of us greatly appreciate everyone’s assistance & help. We can’t wait!
Additional notes from cnaks: Just to reiterate everything that Juice said, Thank you everyone for everything! I/we really appreciate it. As much as I dislike surprises and all the attention, I really do appreciate everything you’ve done to make us feel special and to make our special day go smoothly. After 5 years, I am finally getting used to having a big family and all the great things that come along with it. Looking forward to seeing the whole Sagabaen clan on the 23rd!
Just realized that the blogs I love (clientsfromhell, hipsterpuppies, imwithcoco) are on tumblr. Guess it makes sense to sign up.04:53:36 AM March 10, 2010from web
