Photos of the day: socializing in the Function Hall
For all you church people out there: happy anniversary! Church members from all over California met in the Function Hall in San Jose to meet other brethren in a huge social event. The Function Hall is pretty big, but when its used to host a huge group like this, it easily got a bit cramped.
I used this opportunity to promote my pet project—Locale Maps. Many people have not heard of it, but on the other hand, I was so pleased to find that I did have many fans/users of the site. It warms the heart.
I created a 20-inch sign that read ‘Locale Maps’ & had everyone take a photo with it. Since I’m a naturally shy guy, I used the sign to open conversations with so many different people…& it worked! I even had offers of people who can help me build on my project.
I took many photos tonight, so to try to narrow down my selection in a rational group, here are the photos that included my sign with more than six people. Here’s one more:
