Wedding photos before an A’s game

September 26th, 2009

Wedding photos at the Oakland Coliseum

You don’t see this often at the Coliseum: a bride & groom taking their wedding photos in the field level aisle. They couldn’t have chosen a better day—the weather was perfect for such an occasion. Much props to these newlyweds, hardcore A’s fans!

The A’s killed the Texas Rangers 9 to 1 that evening, mainly because of our section’s jeering of the Rangers’s left fielder David Murphy & my sign that took me hours of crafting on illustration board the night before:

I'mma let you finish...

I'mma let you finish...

Muuuuuurphy!

Happy birthday, Mel!

September 2nd, 2009

Outdoor dinner party

Happy birthday to my cousin Mel, who celebrated her 25th birthday on August 31!  She’s in this Thai food phase, so it was only suiting to have celebrations held over Pad Thai at the Amarin Restaurant on Castro Street in Downtown Mountain View. She got dolled up, invited a boatload of friends & enjoyed a night full of laughter & heated outdoor street patio atmosphere.

They even got her a cute little birthday cake, too.

Happy birthday, Mel!

So long for now, Charles

Group photo!

Charles is following in the footsteps of Cindy & myself. He’s going through San Jose State’s Bilateral Exchange Program overseas (like we did) to the magical country of Switzerland. To celebrate his last few hours here in the good ol’ US, he threw a huge poolside bash at Madelyn’s place in San Jose. It was a huge group.

Of course, to celebrate our shared bro-ciety, here’s our hardcore bro shot:

Thanks for getting way too friendly with me, guys. By special request, I had to upload this photo of ‘Beached Brownie,’ one of the cool pool tricks he pulled for the crowd:

We’ll miss you Charles. You’ll be back cooler than ever. Don’t forget the simple folk back here at home!
