I love little kids & how they find great amount of joy in the small things. Marcus’s parents spent hours the day before hand-crafting the decorations, but he finds much pleasure with the store-bought mylar balloon. To be fair, they were pretty shiny, big & non-threatening!

Sure, baby Marcus won’t remember his first birthday party, but he knows that he’s surrounded by people who love him! Happy birthday, young lad. Thanks to the parents for the awesome Hukilau lunch! Your many hours of preparation showed.

    Yay! Love this blog post and love that picture! :) M is still getting hours of joy out of the balloons from his party! Thanks to Aunties and Uncles like yourself, though, he's got plenty of toys in waiting for when the balloons completely deflate! So glad you guys could come celebrate with us. M is lucky to have you in his life! :)
